Closure of Business Link Yorkshire

Supporting signpost

BUSINESS LINK YORKSHIRE is closing from Friday 18th November 2011.

From 18th November any enquiries to Business Link Yorkshire will be forwarded to the national Business Link service at www.businesslink.gov.uk.

Business Link has traditionally been a first point of contact for anybody thinking of setting up or running a business. But with the ending of the service then it is inevitable that there will be a gap in knowledge of the support available to wannabe entrepreneurs. There will be some confusion as to where to go for support.

Business Link itself has published a list of local support providers and also recommends mentoring support website www.mentorsme.co.uk for those thinking of starting a business, or in the early stages of running a business.

Locally Hedon-based Sirius (originally established by BP in 1999) can offer business advice and support.

Are you thinking of starting a business? Have you already been through the process and can offer advice on where to go for help?
