KEVAN HOUGH is the Conservative Candidate for the South East Holderness Ward by-election to be held on Thursday 3rd May 2012.
In his election statement published on HU12 Online, Kevan Hough comments on his work in regenerating the area as a Withernsea Town Councillor and member of community groups. In particular the local fishing and shellfish industry is highlighted as a key issue:
“I have been working with The Regeneration Partnership on a number of projects which are about to bear fruit. Building work will start soon on the Commercial Fishing Compound… About four years ago I submitted a proposal for a Lobster Hatchery modelled on The National Lobster Hatchery in Padstow. The Regeneration Partnership has taken the idea on and East Riding of Yorkshire Council is keen to ensure that the project is delivered in our area.” Kevan Hough, Election Statement
Note: HU12 Online intends to cover the election campaign in some detail. We have written to each candidate and invited them to submit a 500 word statement about their campaign. We can also reproduce campaign materials for each of the candidates.
