April 25, 2012 Filled under Community, Funding
No Comments

HULL CVS (Community and Voluntary Services) are advertising three very useful fundraising courses that might interest local Holderness voluntary and community groups – and they are FREE.

Meet the Funder – The Santander Foundation on Wednesday 9th May 2012, from 10am – 12pm.

The Santander Foundation provides grants of up to £10,000 to charities working with disadvantaged people. This course will explain what exactly can be funded, how much you can apply for and how to apply. It will also provide you with an opportunity to put questions to Alan Eagle, the manager of the Santander Foundation.

Applying for Awards for All on Thursday 10th May 2012, from 9:30am – 1:00pm.

The Big Lottery Fund, Awards for All Programme, gives grants of between £300 and £10,000, for projects that are completed within 12 months.

This short course is for voluntary and community groups, schools, health bodies or parish and town councils looking to apply for an Awards for All grant.

Basic Fundraising: An Introduction to Applying for Funding on Tuesday 15th May 2012, from 9:30am – 1:00pm.

This course is aimed at groups who are new to applying for funding. It will look at application forms and letters of application and what you should and should not include. There will be discussion on the common reasons why funding bids fail.

All the courses take place at the Hull CVS building, 75 Beverley Road, Hull, HU3 1XL and refreshments are provided.
