GRAHAM STUART MP has commended the Holderness Community First Responder teams.
On Friday 18th August Graham, the MP for Beverley and Holderness, visited the Station Hotel at Patrington to celebrate the accomplishments of Community First Responder teams from across South East Holderness.
Graham met with members from the Roos, Keyingham and Withernsea teams to hear about their valuable, life saving work.
Graham said, “First Responder teams are a real asset to their communities and an inspiration to us all. They volunteer their time freely, often attending incidents in the middle of the night and many of them have full time jobs too.
“I was delighted to hear that the Keyingham team have been commended for their work by the Yorkshire Ambulance Service as Best Performing Group and also as Community Heroes.
“The Withernsea team are currently looking to recruit more volunteers to become First Responders so if you think you could be a Responder then please get in touch with the Yorkshire Ambulance Service for more information.”
Contact Neil Marsay of the Yorkshire Ambulance Service if you would like to discuss becoming a Community First Responder at neil.marsay@yas.nhs.uk or call the Community Resilience Office at 0845 120 3155.
