EAST RIDING RESIDENTS will be joining people across the UK and Commonwealth to celebrate The Queen’s Diamond Jubilee to honour the 60-year reign of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. Community groups hosting events can now promote these on the East Riding Council’s online events calendar.

The main weekend of celebration takes place from Saturday, 2nd to Tuesday, 5th June 2012 and East Riding of Yorkshire Council is planning special activities at Sewerby Hall and Gardens, The Spa Bridlington, Leisure World, the Treasure House and Beverley Guildhall Community Museum. Libraries, leisure centres and other council services will also be marking the occasion.

There are also lots of jubilee events being planned by local people. To get your community celebration promoted on the Council’s website. Simply go to the website and use the online events notification form, ensuring the word ‘Jubilee’ is included in the sub-title field.

Of course you can also promote your party in this area on HU12 Online as well – see our Jubilee Celebrations page. Let us know at e-mail hu12@gmx.com or leave a comment with the details of your public community event on either page or article..
