Camping, Glamping, Comedy and Rock and Roll: It’s Tribfest – Tribute Music Festival

TRIBFEST (Tribute Festival) is becoming a bigger and more popular event each year. The organisers have been sending us information for some time, so we thought we would feature the festival in this special post.

The “biggest and best Tribfest music festival” returns to East Yorkshire over the weekend of  16th -19th August 2012.

Up to 5000 fans are expected at the 6th festival being held at the new venue of Sledmere house and this year’s festival includes 22 top tribute acts and also includes additional stages for Folk acts, unsigned bands from across Britain and the Laughing Bull Comedy festival.

The main focus of the festival remains top tribute acts and this year’s line up is the best one to date with 22 acts performing across the weekend. Festival favourites such as Badness, Kazabian, Black Eyed Peaz, Abba Revival ,Green Date and Heart of Glass are joined by a wide range of newcomers including tributes to Snow Patrol, The Cure, Levellers, Blues Brothers and the Police

There are three great new Headline acts – The Clone Roses are here for anyone who couldn’t make the big comeback gigs by the Stone Roses during the summer, Queen tribute the Bohemians and Ben, a brilliant tribute to the former King of Pop himself Michael Jackson.

This year’s festival has a salubrious new home on the grounds of Sledmere house, a stately home north of Driffield. Not only does this offer a fantastic new location for the festival but it provides massive grounds for the campsite and has on site facilities for campers which have been used by the Camping and Caravan Club of Great Britain.

Weekend tickets are £85 for adults and £45 Under 18s. VIP tickets are £130 and £50 respectively. Daily tickets are also available.
