Clash of the “Titans”… well, the three pubs actually… on Queen’s Diamond Jubilee Day in Paull

PAULL CELEBRATIONS for the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee take place on Monday 4th June 2012. …And will we see shades of The Clash of the Titans or Rocky XIII as the village’s three pubs go head-to-head in a competition!?

The Royal Oak, Humber Tavern and Crown Inn will be the focus of the fun and activities as an inter-pub competition is staged to secure the “Bragging Rights” for the next 12 months! This surely will be the most keenly fought contest of the year!

Each pub team will be dressed in Red, White or Blue and will compete to be the Champions at Rounders, Football and Tug of War! The first matches – in what promises to be a keenly fought contest – get underway from 11:00am.

There will be lots for the children to do with a fancy dress, a tea-party, balloon race, and traditional 3-legged and egg & spoon races down Main Street across tea time. A Bouncy Castle will be running all day.

There will be a Disco on the Crown Field from 7:30pm, a fireworks display along the sea wall next to Humber Tavern, and the lighting of the Beacon at 10:26pm.

“We sincerely hope that everyone has a day they will remember for the rest of their lives.” Paul Cross on behalf of the organisers
