Preston WI beauty demonstration

PRESTON WI (Women’s Institute) is holding a meeting on Tuesday 28th February 2012 with ‘Beauty’ as the key theme.

The guest speaker at this meeting, which takes place at the Community Hall in Preston, is a lady called Ellie who will be giving a beauty demonstration. The meeting starts at 7:30pm at a cost of £2.00 per visitor to include refreshments.

The WI is the largest voluntary organisation for women in the UK. It provides women with educational opportunities and the chance to build new skills, to take part in a wide variety of activities and to campaign on issues that matter to them and their communities… and can provide a whole lot of fun!

The Preston WI was formed out of a campaign last year when a membership stall was set up at the Preston Show. Christine Head, the Secretary of Preston WI, reports that the group now has over 30 members.
