Theft from car and windows smashed while family pick brambles – Preston

HUMBERSIDE POLICE are seeking witnesses to a theft from a motor vehicle that happened some time between 4:00pm and 5:20pm on Sunday 12th August 2012.
The blue coloured Fiat Punto was parked and unattended in a layby on Staithes Road, Preston while the owner picked brambles with her children nearby.
On returning to the vehicle the owner discovered the front windscreen had been shattered along with all the other windows in the vehicle and a CD player and a tax disc had been stolen.
Police would like to hear from anyone who was in the area at the time and saw or heard anything suspicious.
