FIRE CREWS from Humberside Fire & Rescue Service have attended incidents in our area recently.

  • A motorcycle on fire on Tower House Lane, Saltend was dealt with this afternoon (6th August 2012).
  • Also this afternoon on Aldbrough Road, Roos, a bonfire had spread to a trailer, catching alight to 4 half tonne bales of straw. As well as a jet hose and breathing apparatus, a mechanical digger had to be used to create a fire break.
  • A rubbish bin fire was extinguished on Memorial Avenue, Withernsea.
This is just a small selection of the incidents tackled by the service. More information at the HFRS website, look at Incidents.
